Floating Dock

A lovely view looking down the mountain over King Edward Cove and Grytviken. The floating dock can be seen to the bottom right of the picture.

A great shot of the floating dock actually floating. All that can be seen now are the tops of the handrails. My uncle Bill Howieson worked on this dock in the mid 1950s when it was based at Leith Harbour. This is one of the first photographs I have seen with it actually afloat.
