Leith Harbour

The main workshop area of Leith looking towards the flensing plan which is over on the far left of the picture. Leith Harbour was the largest of the whaling stations, with huge workshops, generating plant and stores. Leith also boasted of having a large, well equipped hospital.

The main jetty at Leith. Lathes and other workshop machinery can be seen lining the jetty ready for the Argentinean scrap men to uplift. Generators etc. can be found lining the streets just as they were left before the conflict in 1982.
